Global dancing star, Karan Pangali’s highly awaited dance theatre production is finally here! Being the sole UK representative to make the final of Hrithik Roshan’s hit TV show ‘Just Dance’ we are pleased to present ‘The Dance of Bollywood’.
Teamed up with the incredible KSPARK dancers, Karan is set to take you on a journey celebrating the best music and dance from Bollywood. You will experience KSPARK’s fusion of Indian Classical, Salsa, Hip Hop, Bhangra and Contemporary dance as well as being treated to a pure, traditional Kathak performance.
Karan will also perform some signature routines from ‘Just Dance’ and there will be surprise musical and vocal acts set to leave the whole family in awe! The show will take place on the 4th, 5th and 6th May 2012 at the fabulous Curve Theatre, Leicester.

Yesterday Karan graced the stage alongside Bollywood playback singer Alka Yagnik to celebrate the birthday of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The event took place in Harrow and was attended by more than 3000 devotees. After his performance Karan said, ‘I feel connected to Baba through his love and participation in the arts. For me dance is an art form that brings out joy and peace, that's why I love what I do.’ Karan concluded the event by assisting in the final aarti along with Alka Yagnik. |

Karan will be walking the ramp at IAFA (the International Asian Fashion Awards) tomorrow evening showcasing an exclusive menswear range by designer Saran Kohli.
The event has been created to honour the creativity of prominent Asian artists who have been an integral part of the fashion arena; it will also draw attention to the stars of the future.
IAFA will shine the international spotlight on the multi-million dollar ethnic fashion industry, creating a platform for stylists, designers and artists in the Asian fashion industry to exhibit their work to millions across the globe.
As Asian fabrics, styles and designs are being increasingly embraced on the catwalks and in the high street, it is time to celebrate the glamour and beauty of this industry, and to recognize its unique contribution to the world of fashion.

Karan’s dance school was selected as the first Bollywood school to perform inside the resort as part of the IFDPA dance championships. All the students of Karan's Bollywood Masterclass performed on the glamorous stage infront of an audience of approximately 1000. They performed the mesmerising dances learnt at KBM for friends, family and dance/music lovers. Nov 09: KSPARK at Royal Rajasthan Gala |

On Monday 9th Nov 09, Karan & the KSPARK dancers were invited to perform before an audience including the Maharaja of Rajasthan, Amitabh Bachchan, Kabir Bedi, Dalip Tahil, Sigourney Weaver, Princess Fergie and many more dignitaries. All the guests present were there for the Royal Rajasthan Gala, a fundraising event benefiting the Indian Head Injury Foundation. KSPARK created a very special 20 minute dance production for the deserving occasion held at the Whitehall Banqueting House, London. KSPARK also contributed £7000 in the Charity Auction on the night. Karan & KSPARK will perform at the most spectacular Awards Ceremony on the British restaurant calendar. The British Curry Awards aims to promote the highest standards of achievement within the spice industry. Karan being a huge fan of Indian food and especially spicy curries is looking forward to bringing the sizzling flavour of KSPARK to the event. He will be doing two performances including his renowned choreography to Jai Ho. It will be held on Tuesday, 3rd November, for the first time at Battersea Evolution, London's most dynamic dining and events space. The event will be hosted by Sir Trevor McDonald. Watch out for clips of the show on Star Plus and the BBC. |

Summer has been jam-packed full of fun at KBM. Our students have been busy performing at many festivals, melas and events wowing audiences with the fabulous dances learnt in class. Event organisers have often commented that the Bollywood performances have been the highlight of their event. Karan says, “We are looking forward to teaching some new, funky and captivating dances from September which selected students will be able to perform at our end of year production. On Monday 13th July, Karan and the KSPARK dancers will perform at the Royal Opera House for a prestigious Bollywood dance event; 'Frame by Frame'. Bollywood glamour meets salon sophistication in this half-day symposium charting the history and evolution of the dance of Indian cinema. Find out what drives this booming global industry at Frame by Frame; a symposium covering key themes, including: The globalisation of Indian cinema; what defines Indian cinema and how is it different to world cinema; a history and tribute section on the dance of Indian cinema throughout the ages; the economy of Bollywood dance and a personal perspective of an eminent filmmaker.

Catch Karan and students of KBM at the Under One Sky event in Harrow on Sunday 28th June. The event will be held at Zoom Leisure (Kodak Sports Ground), Harrow View, HA2 6QQ from 12-8pm. Karan and the KSPARK dancers will perform on the main stage at 2pm. Karan will also be leading an exciting dance workshop which you can participate in. KBM students will be performing in the Dance Zone later in the day. KSPARK will have a stall at the event where you can find out more information about the dance classes, performances, meet the team and Karan himself. It would be great to see you all there... |

Exciting Summer Crash Courses are available for all of you wishing to learn new dance skills this summer! Sessions will be an extra 1.5 hours of quality training from Karan himself and our fantastic KBM teachers. There are courses for adults and children both beginners and intermediate levels. May 09: Karan on Sony TV's 'Simply Health' |

Karan will be appearing on Sony TV’s hit show, ‘Simply Health’. He will be teaching some simple, easy to follow movements to popular Bollywood songs. The idea is to keep fit with dance and for those people who don’t have time to go to the gym it provides a good way to exercise at home. The programme approached Karan after seeing his work at his Bollywood Masterclass in Harrow. Karan's episode will air next on Sunday 14th June at 11.30am and it will repeat in the week. |

Students at Karan’s Bollywood Masterclass have had some fantastic recent achievements. Harsh and Hirak Doshi (5 years old) won the first prize at the X-FACTOR TALENT CONTEST at their Priestmead First School. They performed the song ‘Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte’ that Karan & Nishi had taught at the Northwick Park children’s class. Another student, Saffron Uppal has been selected after numerous auditions for the ‘Raven’ television series for the BBC. It will be filmed in Scotland and the show will be broadcast next year. She has been learning with KBM for over a year. We are proud of their achievements and would like to congratulate them for their dedication and hard work in class. |

Apr 09: KBM is coming to Kingston! |

KBM is launching new dance classes in Kingston. After much anticipation we are happy to announce there will be two regular classes from Monday 27th April. The times are 7-8pm and 8-9pm.
Karan’s recent performance at the famous Rose Theatre in Kingston spawned great interest for KBM to open the dance classes. Karan says, “I have always liked Kingston for its respect of art and culture and am really looking forward to launching KBM there.”
The class will be held at Kelly’s Dance Studio; 12 Park Road, Hampton Wick, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, KT1 4AS. The nearest train station is Hampton Wick.

You have probably seen the new Walker's crisps advertising campaign on TV. Well they are releasing six new flavours including 'Onion Bhaji'. The commercial stars our very own KSPARK dancers and is choreographed by Karan himself. Karan worked with Gary Linekar for the advert, training him in Bhangra & Bollywood dance movements. It should be shown on TV throughout the next few weeks. Hope you all enjoy it as much as KSPARK did putting it together! |

The KSPARK team has had a very busy month but a fantastic start to the New Year! Karan was called to choreograph and star in the prestigious Asiana Bridal fashion show in both London and Birmingham. The show was a huge success and will be aired on Sony TV (sky channel 782) soon. At the same time Karan was rehearsing for his 2.5 hour musical, ‘Bollywood Nights’ which took place on 30th and 31st Jan 09. The show was a complete sell out and in-fact KSPARK added an extra show due to the popular demand! We would like to thank everyone who came to support the show and giving us such great feedback.

Other artists include Sukhwinder Shinda, boxer Amir Khan and pop star Abrar-Ul-Haq. Karan says, "We are very excited to perform at Wembley Arena this Sunday. The audience can expect a wow factor performance with some classic Bollywood songs to get them on their feet and grooving along with us!" With over 6,000 people from across the country and abroad coming to celebrate spirituality, art and culture it was a real pleasure for Karan and the KSPARK dancers to be involved in the Durga Utsav. The performance brought smiles and excitement to the audience which consisted mainly of families and stemmed a buzz for learning Indian dance with Karan at his Masterclass. |

Two of Karan’s younger students, Ayesha and Aiyana Tandon became the UK Champions of the international dance competition Boogie Woogie 08. They shone all the way through the series of vigorous auditions to winning the live UK Finals. Their dedication, commitment and passion in class has been evident from the start and we are proud of their achievement. They have been learning with Karan for 2 years now and continue training at his Bollywood Masterclass.

Karan created an adrenaline pumping recreation of Thriller to open a fashion show for Merrill Lynch in association with Asian Woman Magazine. For many of the industry specialists who attended, this was one of the most shocking and entertaining acts they had ever seen to open a show. Karan worked with the famous make-up artists from the west end production ‘The Lion King’ who transformed him into a werewolf. Karan and the dancers left the audience glued in their seats, not just from fright but also from delivering a perfect replication of the one and only ‘Thriller’ video.
